India
Long gone are the days of having to go on a long journey before you even arrive at your destination; with the growth of major travel hubs across North America and Europe, India is more accessible to visitors across the western world than ever before.
There’s incomparable diversity across the country, from human-made wonders such as the Taj Mahal in Agra and the Elephanta Caves off the coast of Mumbai, to natural fascinations such as the coast of Goa or hills of Darjeeling. India has a rich history to explore, including, of course, British colonization, but also going back centuries previous.
If time permits, you can combine a trip to India with visits to other nearby countries in South and Southeast Asia, such as Nepal, Sri Lanka and Singapore.
